Dignified beauty I

Postby Natacha » Thu Jul 29, 2010 7:41 pm

Pixel definitively has a dignified beauty about her, specially when pictures are being taken.
Oh and her eyes are definitively improving in colour, getting closer to the bright red they ought to be.

Actually, both my little girls are very dignified when I take pictures, unless caught in the act of something they shouldn't do...

She's beautiful! I can definitely see an improvement :)

I love the picture where her eyes are closed.

I didn't realize there was so much orange and brown in the plumage.

Oh my god, she is just beautiful ! I love her colors. She's a red-bellied parrot ?

Oh, and can you tell me what kind of camera you have ? Unless it's a professionnal one, I'd consider buying the same one, it's really nice (or maybe it's just you that's gifted...)

I find it differs from bird to bird..I've definitively seen some females with more green or grey.

She is a Red-bellied parrot :)

I used my Pentax K20D to take these shots, with a Pentax 70mm f/2.4 lens. It is a DSLR, although it's not what more pros would use :)

The Red Bellies are really a bird you have to see in person to really appreciate their beauty. You should see when the sun hits Nicholas just right. They're really gorgeous.

To illustrate my point, here are some pictures of another Red-bellied hen which was offered to me shortly after I got Pixel (I did mention this here, right? if not, well yeah I could have had another but one is plenty for now)

Follow the links :)

here and here

I find she has less orange than Pixel.
