tail feathers

Postby biker4life » Thu Jan 21, 2010 9:15 pm

the other night Skipper (our sun concure) was on my boyfriends shoulder. he leaned over to get something and Skipper crawed be hind him. in the process Skippers tail feathers got pulled out. he seems to be ok now, just alittle funny looking with no tail feathers. Please tell me they are going to grow back and is there anything we need to do? should we take him to the vet?

When do birds moult? My parrot is 14 weeks old, but when it will moult for the first time? When I am looking at photos of older senegal parrots they seem to be darker green, when babies are bit lighter shade of green. :senegal:
