Recall session & why birds are meant to fly

Postby marie83 » Wed Apr 03, 2013 6:05 am

Nothing more beautiful than getting to see this on a daily basis imo. Nothing more enriching for the bird than having enough control over its life to take off at will, to recall to me, to circle the room and dart about mid-air, or turn on a hairpin for the sheer hell of it, land and then do it all again 3 or 4 times in a row.

Thank you :)

I can't take credit for the actual pictures though as I'm not good enough with the camera settings as yet, so my boyfriend took these. We are trying to get some of Harlie flying too but not had much luck with the timings yet as she isn't recall trained at the mo.

Wow, these are such beautiful pictures! It's especially nice to see Ollie flying because I know he's had so much trouble with his health and with open sores under his wings it sometimes affects his willingness to fly.

 I totally agree, I love seeing my GCC flying all around the house. One day I will get there with my Poi but I don't think he will ever be as proficient as my conure.

I know what you mean about getting the photos, we tried to get some with Edmund but he's just soooooo fast! George is.... a bit kamikaze! He's still learning to build up the stamina.
