Squawking Senegal

Postby Smurph007 » Tue Sep 02, 2014 5:46 pm

My Senegal Sprite is very social and loves to talk and chirp. However, she has a really loud high pitched squawk she does when she's not getting attention. For example if we are walking in and out of the house... I have been ignoring this sound and responding when she is quiet or makes a better sounding chirp but that doesn't seem to be helping... What else can I do to get the squawking to stop?!

My Senegal has the same squawk, although I don't have to listen to it that often. If she gets enough attention then she will not squawk that much.

Yep, same here, they do have this high-pitched, eardrum-splitting loud scream but mine hardly ever do it. I am home all day long and she is out with me for several hours every day so, even when I have to run an errand, she is fine with it (and she knows I am going out because I always tell them).
