That's great, yes I think Lorikeets are the cutest baby birds, I love their black beak and eyes =D

I would go for the first cage, it is similar to the one I have for Sheldon. As for other cage suggestions, the Victorian open dome cages are really nice.

For toys I would get anything that he/she can rip up XD Sheldon loves the Wooden kebab toys, which he destroys a week after I put them in his cage. He also loves tubes and toys that he can climb into, like those coconut toys. Some hanging/shredding toys I get Sheldon include:

http://www.myparrotshop.com/hanging-toy ... d_611.html
http://www.myparrotshop.com/foot-toys/s ... d_473.html

The most important toys I think to get a Lorikeet are foot toys and toys that can be put at the bottom of the cage. I get Sheldon random soft toys and plastic balls with bells in them, he loves them and will spend all day at the bottom of the cage.

yeh the first cage is the cage i had for my first lorikeet, so i was leaning more towards the first one :) and for toys thanks for the suggestions, toys i used to ahve for luka her stuff he could destory without me thinking to much about the money side. the bird barn is a great store they are so good to me lol i spend so much there its not funny. and im definatly getting one of those coconut toys they look awesome.

my lori loved the snuggle hut so ill be getting one of them to.

thanks for the links too gives me another place to buy toys from. (the bird barn lacks destructible toys) all the toys they have are 'made to last'

i just got a email saying the 604 cage is currently out of stock.....im going with a different style now. its a better quailty once and it has a play stand. here is a picture, before i order what variation to this cage should i get? there are so many

here are my req for a cage,
long lasting
easy access to the inside of the cage
safe
must me on wheels
and preferably a playtop gym
does not need to come with perches or bowls i already have them :)
must ship to new zealand (of course haha)
price range 200-400 new zealand dollars!!! not american!!!!

if you guys have any variations to the cage in the picture or have a complete other brand PLEASE post me some links!
