They would do it to protect the aluminum from the effects of the environment especially to salty air near the coasts.

The screen is harmful too? My sunroom windows are open in the summer with the screen exposed.

I am determined to build an aviary for them. I will have one room for them to fly around in probably with a screen door on it so I can hear them.

I am buying a 5 bedroom house so they can have their own room. I guess I will have to save up for the building material or a prefab aviary.

Don't give up, a prefab aviary will cost close to $2000. Wolf and I are both searching for a way to do it. Be patient, good ideas are coming. I have never been one to accept something can't be done just because someone else said no.

I lost a washer off my push sweeper when I was a teen. I did not know where my father kept his. I used the pull ring off a soda can. It worked but my dad had a hissy fit when he found out.

I don't give up and I don't use the word can't except to say "I can't take it anymore with 2 Amazons in season at the same time".

Actually, it's not that you cannot do it, because there is both wire mesh in all gauges and mosquito screen in stainless steel (I have a friend that had her porch done with them for her macaws), it's that it's expensive!

Sorry, I got distracted the past couple of days with my own animals and doctors appointments for me so didn't get done what I was supposed to on this project. I will get back on it tomorrow and try to post some information later in the day.
