Yellow crowned Amazon hissing and goes for me???

Postby Jasonhughes » Sun Mar 30, 2014 12:22 pm

I've recently bought a yellow crowned amazon that it 3, I've had him 3 days and I'm not expecting him to be settled as yet but my mrs can put her hand in without him biting etc and he'll let he scratch him but as soon as she's gone and I'm there he'll go for me at all costs apart when I'm feeding him apples or nuts,

Is this normal and what's the best way to go about this?

His previous owner was a woman and maybe that's why he's like he is with my mrs??

Any help and advice will be much appreciated
