Here is the down command I taught them so I can clip their talons. I use the command down ( I trained dogs for the military) LOL. I am still working with Amos to let go as soon as he is lying down.
It takes a great man to give advice tactfully
But a greater to accept it graciously

Good job! It's always great when you can clip their nails without toweling them. I only clip my bigger too's claws (he likes to grab your hand HARD and his claws are like daggers!) but I do it while he is perching on my arm because I just blunt the sharp tip of his longer toes so it's a simple matter to put the nail clipper under them and just squeeze.

I just clip the very tip of their talons, the piece that comes off is so little you can hardly see it. Just so when they grab on the end is blunt.
