It sounds to me that they do tend to squabble quite a bit, but not so much as my Budgies do.

My budgies are exactly the same more noise than anything else where as the parrotlets take great delight in pecking each other feet.
I have noticed that Bluebell tends to instigate lot of it more often than not its where she wants to sit where George is sitting but George gives as good as he gets and puts her in her place.

I have not noticed them either one going after the others feet. Keeta is more often the more aggressive of the two, although Rajah is fairly aggressive in his own right. It appears that with my Parrotlets that the use of their beak for nipping, pecking and punching is almost as important in their communications as are the sounds that they make and seems to be used as much as body language for this purpose.
