Clicker Training Chili

Postby sl8tr » Fri Aug 06, 2010 2:13 pm

Hello Everyone,

I have a 3 month old Double Yellow Head Amazon. I want to start clicker training him. He is eating some on his own but I am still hand feeding him so it is not real obvious to me what his most favorite food/treat is. Is it too early to be clicker training him with praises and is targeting the place to start? What foods are some of your amazons favorite?

Thanks

Owners should not be training or purchasing unweaned chicks.

Since you own an unweaned parrot, you must work on weaning and handling him and giving him lots of attention. Trying to train him this early would be more or less counterproductive. Wait until the little fellow is weaned and then start training him.
