I dread the day my sennie finds out that the keys are removable! So far she just tries to chew them!

Franklin likes to run his bill along the cracks between the keys, but thankfully hasn't learned that they pop off yet!

He does like to try to chew the little lights off of the laptop though... :?

This kind of makes me wonder if the makers of laptops all put a little bit of parrot crack into their keyboards! I haven't let Cas pry off any of my keys, but God knows he sure would if given half a chance! He loves trying even more then his destructible toys...

Scooter plays with the keys but doesn't pop them off. He does occasionally take control of my session though!

Seriously, at best you can probably divert him to playing with something else and reward him lavishly for doing so.

When Rudy started showing excessive interest in ripping off my keys, and destroyed a couple, I GAVE him the keyboard. I have a video on youtube of us playing with it. I would redirect him to HIS keyboard whenever he showed interest in any other keyboard, and he got months of enjoyment out of it before eventually losing interest.

He was so curious about whatever I was touching, that it was natural to expect him to be interested and to want to participate, and to be jealous of all the attention the keyboard was getting. I would pretend to type on his keyboard to pique his interest. I would occasionally pretend to get a little frustrated when he ripped out the keys. I still would always keep an eye on him around my good keyboards, but it certainly took the edge off the forbidden fruit aspect!

But has Rudy learnt that the keyboard is his? Will he still go to your one?

What about getting a kid's toy that resembles a keyboard? That way it would be easy for him to distinguish the two...
