Well, apparently, not everybody is happy that they are reproducing so well. Personally, I am with the bunch that believes that people should just adjust to their increasing numbers - what do you think?

I have thought about the problem with extinct animals. It would be nice if scientists were able to re create the Tasmanian Tiger. I would like to see one but their habitat has been taken up by the Dingo and they would not fit back in.

Letting Kakas go back to what was once their land cannot work. Humans are there now. They need Kaka reserves but that has not work out that great for elephants. People should not be feeding them then complaining because they are there. They may have to be relocated to a safer for them area. It would be somewhat like the tribe of distructive monkeys that were relocated to Texas. They adapted so well that they are now causing problems in texas.

I found this to be SUPER interesting! I certainly did not know any of these facts about the kakapo... but learning about the 5 year cycle the hens are in explains the problem scientists are trying to solve in terms of their numbers!
