It is a Red...African Grey :? . So does that make it a african red, or what?

Well...it is red. Not very attractive. Probably comes with a host of other health issues...but people will insist on breeding for colour...

Yeah, first thing that ran through my mind was "and what heath problems do they have?"
Mind you...they are stunning!

Plus they cost a fortune! Same with the blue eclectus. While both are striking birds, I still prefer traditional coloring.

its said that they do not have major health issues, but they have only been around since 2007. I would assume that it is like a lutino cockatiel or lovbird even, a colored chromosome swap and that is all. still a normal african grey.

also i have seen this all blue yellow nape amazon, i am curious though if he will even get a yellow nape? he is still young.

Personally, I find they look weird.
I prefer the traditional grey with red tail :)

Apparently the "single factor" red mutation is not that expensive. The breeder I am getting Tobi from has 2 Clutches of Camaroons for sale some of which have the odd red feather or two under their wings & on the belly. Red factor sells the same price as his other babies - $1300 CDN
