Dealing with "terrible two's"

Postby colorado4bjh » Wed May 26, 2010 8:44 pm

My Senegal Kaylee is now 1 year 6 months. According to the book, Guide to the Senegal Parrot and it's Family, the terrible 2's can start around a year and older. Can any poi owners point to ways they worked with this stage in the parrots development. I do positive reinforcement training, healthy diet, very large roaming space, and foraging.

She likes to be on my shoulder and that is when she tries to test my patience the most. Thanks for your help! :senegal:

hello! i don't know anything about the "terrible twos" cause my sennies just turned one this month.
doesn't sound like anything i am looking forward to.
i don't let her on my shoulder as she bites my ears  and i have no control over her up there, she always makes sure she is just out of my reach.
they can be little pistols!
