Akilah also makes a sort of purring when she is getting scratched, she also makes a bit of a grumbly noise when I take away something she shouldn't have. I used to think those were growls, but one day when I showed here a plush toucan toy she really growled, it was unmistakably a warning.

None of my birds make purring or growling sounds.

However, I have seen Einstein make a hissing noise at my Step-Dad.
