This is an article on a study done on 1,600 dogs and their owners which concluded that the owners have a large part in how the dog will come out in terms of personality and, although it's not about pet parrots, it not only applies to them, I would say that the results would be even more pronounced because dogs have been domesticated for, at least, 30,000 years while parrots are not at all so husbandry is the most important part of how the bird will turn out.
