I know there are bathing products out there meant for birds. Maybe you should look at your local pet stores for one.

I never wash my birds with any kind of soap. I just give them a nice spray from a spray bottle (even though they hate it, at least I know they are getting somewhat clean)

What does she smell like? Is it like she got into something? Typically birds don't have a foul odour. I'd be worried that she's sick or has an infection. Personally I'd rule out any health issues with a vet trip before using any type of soaps. Plus, if it's simply caused by something on her feathers a vet would be able to recommend the best way/product for bathing her.

I second that. I would say none of our birds, past or present have ever had a "foul" odor. They smell like birds (fowl odor?) and more so when wet, but nothing that would cause me to use the word stink.
Our cockatoo loves water and will readily join anyone in the shower. She is also white and likes to be held so she gets dirty from all the hands on her. To cut the dirt, we use about 1 drop of baby shampoo on our hands first, then on to the bird. This is all happening under the full shower spray, so little shampoo is actually involved but this is plenty to whiten her up again.
If you really have a bad, stinky, foul odor though, I would think washing the bird is not your top concern.

I think it was NZJesse who pointed it out, but the normal bird smell is kind of like old books and libraries. Defintely not a yucky, stinky smell. I agree with the suggestions to visit a vet if there is really a nasty smell.
