hey here's a bird toy idea =) my dad had one of those post-office tube things and drilled some holes in the top creating a new, um, toy for my gcc. She absolutely loves running back and forth through the tube and sticking her head out of the top. Of course I have no idea how other birds/species would react to it but it was a success for me. Also it may not be a good idea for hormonal birds?

I might just have to do that! I've worked at movie theaters for 4 years, so my poster collection is swelling and I have plenty of poster tubes like that! Thanks for sharing your idea.
