LOL...yes, but sadly, they still die...

Plus, I have the Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches...they're not quite as indestructible as some of the pest species are...

I told the company they were to be used by a pet parrot and that there was a concern that there may be zinc in the glue...

I am still waiting to hear back from Kleenex.

Okay so this is the final email sent to Kleenex about the toilet paper roll inserts:
Dear Marlies,
Thanks for your e-mail about COTTONELLE® bathroom tissue.

In answer to your inquiry, we do not use any materials that knowingly contain zinc in any of our bath tissue products. However, we have not tested nor can we recommend that our cores be used for this use.

We hope that this information is helpful. Thanks again for visiting our web site.

Subject: toilet paper rolls

I have a pet parrot and like to use the toilet paper rolls for toys. Is the glue used toxic? Specifically does it contain zinc? Thanks

So it seems Okay but they won't endorse anything I assume for liability issues (like peanuts and allergies)

the Canadian Superstore sells president choice toilet paper and the first sheet is not glued on, it has a perforation that holds it in place....NO GLUE!!

Just thought I would let the Canucks who's birds love toilet paper rolls that these ones are safe.
