I'm actually weary of giving out toilet paper roll.

For one thing, a lot of people mention that the glue used might be a hazard to the birds.

However...my biggest concern is the nature itself of "toilet paper roll", what we use it for and where we handle it and how likely that there might be transfer of bacteria to the roll itself.


I'd rather give birdie bagels which are very similar but which I have less concerns about. Plus, they aren't very expensive to start with.

the ones i use arent actually used from a toilet paper roll i just refer them to that. its a lot easier than explaining the back history of where i got mine from.

I gave Cas a toilet paper roll the other day and he seemed to like it well enough. Not nearly as much as the cardboard "mouse pad" I'm using right now! Much cheaper though and far more abundant. Great idea! :thumbsup:
