I made these stands myself!!

Postby Mr.Darcy » Fri Jul 16, 2010 7:31 pm

Kay, so my baby is only 5 weeks old right now and I have to wait until early September (at least) until he is ready to join my family, but being a Mom of 4 boys has made me a bit prepared. I already have a cage all set up with a few toys. But I thought I would giving making something a try. I got the three trays and small table base used on the playgym at Ikea and the pipe and Stainless Steel parts at the local Rona (Canada) and for less than $80.00 I made all three!!

I was thinking about doing something likethat when I get a parrot. Good job.

That's awesome!!! Great job, I thought about making something like this, but I found out I am not nearly crafty enough and I don't even have a drill or really many tools at all. Those look awesome though and way to be prepared so far in advance. :)

pretty and functional! I like your idea for the bases, if I ever need (or want!) to make another playgym I'm definitely going to get a tray like those =)

Thanks! The nice thing about the tray, they are laminated so easy easy to clean....and notice the cute bird motif on the medium one?!

oh yes, i did notice the birdy tray on the medium one! very well done!
i need to make something for Marnie like that.
i do have a suggestion for you on the big one, maybe wrap it with some kind of rope to increase its "climbability"
what do you think?
