What color rug

Postby Nathaniel » Mon Aug 02, 2010 3:04 pm

Is there a specific rug color that would make it easy to see messes? If not what colors should I avoid?

Is the bird going in a carpeted area or hard floor? I personally have a plastic mat under my cages, but I have my cages on hard floors.

I like the plastic mat because I can vacuum and mop/scrub it.

It will be on hardwood in winter and carpet in summer.

I'd still consider a plastic mat, whichever color you can find in your budget. They can be pricey.

I have a $15 green mat & find it hides alot of the mess rather well. If your looking for a color that will show a mess well I'd stick with black or white.

...if you want a rug...the colour doesn't matter...in fact, I'd be inclined to get something the poop stains don't show on...some greeny-brown shade...or a pattern...
