i found this video on youtube of this guy making a simple parrot stand out of pvc pipe, i thought i would share with everyone.

If you are working with PVC you can actually buy a PVC cutter for $10, no mess and very fast.

Coincidentally I have just finished a similar project, although it is a table top stand that I will use as a perch... Just need to cut a new bolt for the perch as the one it came with is too small...

Also I used wood dowels to connect the connectors... It just seemed to look better and adds a bit of weight (i.e. stability) to it... Will post pics soon...

hey im always tired by the time im finished work and im on here give me a break! :) ill change it now. and yea i was thinking instead o using a pvc pipe finding a branch/perch that would fit would look better

I too have built my own bird stand as I couldn't find any suitable bird stand that doesn't cost an arm. The bird stand cost cost is less than $20 AUD but is made from Aluminium and has a smaller footprint. As soon as I can, I'll make a video and share it here.
