Your ESP is showing again, Pajarita. That's my favorite term for him when I'm telling new people, especially non-bird-people, about him. My little... uhhh... "character".
Rainbow was considered a character and was known in the community. Those who could not come to see him asked for pictures. Momma had Hospice. The first nurse to come to the door (storm door) looked in to see a pack of small dogs with a Rainbow in the middle. By the time I got to the door she was laughing. Everyone who came took a picture of her to show someone else. If Momma would fall we called 911 to get help picking her up. The EMS people all looked for Rainbow first then helped my Momma up. The EMS who were called after 8pm would ask where she was. Then were a little upset that she was sleeping. I don't know how many pictures were taken of her but the whole community heard about her.
It looks as if he had the head part of those deep sea diving suits -you know, the ones that have a big 'crystal ball' for the head, weights in the feet and a tube that brings oxygen to the wearer.
There was a member in Australia who told me I was lucky that there was so much water between us. Otherwise there would be a bird napping.
Have you seen the Cockatoo on facebook who is an only child? Her human works hard coming up with things for her to do. The funniest thing I saw about her was when she picks up a plastic cup and makes a noise in it. Her human stacks plastic cups like a pyramid just for her to knock it down. Her human also gives her a stack of cups to take apart and throw. Like I said she must be an only child getting her humans full attention.
