It's already been two years..

..since we got Petey.

Yup, two years with the women-hating, noodle lovin' little Meyer's known as Petey.

Still, in those two years he's made a lot of progress and I'm pretty sure the hate for the women genre has been replace with the much less violent dislike. Or maybe that is just him with me, although I do hope it's a more general feeling.

There is still a long way to go though, I guess I'll just have to continue to bribe him with those noodles he loves so much!

Also, Petey is the only bird who's hatch date I don't know exactly. His band would lead us to believe he was hatched in 1995 and since there is no specific date, I did choose to celebrate his hatch date simultaneously with the day we got him so happy 15th hatch day Petey!

Happy hatch day Petey!

I love your descriptions of your birds :) Its not so good that he's woman-hating, but you've given him a good home and don't give up on him. But I did laugh at the noodle-lovin

As my boyfriend puts it, Petey inhales noodles. I mean nothing is left and they just go in.
There is NO crumbs to be found either. He wipes his beak and then eats what he's wiped off.

Well that is for the "normal" kind of noodles. I bought this dry mix of parrot food that can be fed as is or rehydrated...it has green noodles (spinach I presume)...oh my god, those things are EVIL in Petey's eyes.. ;)

You mean like regular noodles you boil, not spaghetti or any kind really? I do know that mine likes spaghetti, not sure if it was the sauce on the one shell I let him have or the shell macaroni itself, but he devoured it.

Do you mix anything in it?

Regular noodles yes.

I rarely add anything to them when giving them to the birds; with spaghetti sauce, I put things in it that isn't entirely safe for the birds (such as onions and salt) so I don't bother giving them that.

They like the cooked versions better uncooked.

As it was mentioned just above, it is indeed an "Atom" from Mother Pluckin' Bird Toys. Not sure how much shipping to the Netherlands would be, it's already quite pricey to have one shipped to Canada.
