Does YOUR budgie play like he's on crack/having a seizure?

Postby GlassOnion » Wed Apr 20, 2011 12:17 am

Mine does! It's absolutely hilarious and ridiculous. Spice sometimes jerks her body around like she's having a seizure and go absolutely beserk while running around/flying/attacking toys/chewing etc etc.
The only things she's missing are hanging upside down and laying on her back.

I'll try to take some videos and post them... it's crazy!

Pigpen just started playing on her back a couple of days ago. At first I couldn't figure out what she was doing and was kind of scared, but I realized it just gave her better access to the inside of the bells.

Both of them are like tiny speed racers when they're flying, though. No Name just got his first set of flights and I don't think he was properly fledged, so he's pretty clumsy and will fly into my head, the desk, the lamp, the windows, the wall. He's getting a little better about it now and will land on the window instead of smack into it. :)

I don't have a budgie but Myrtle (BF Amazon) did that about half an hour ago.
It is like the happiness has to get out. She turns her head upside down - flaps her wings - dances like she is having a fit and sings "La La La".

She did it the first time when I got back from Las Vegas.

I don't have a budgie, but my GCC Rory plays like that, he has little fits like he's just so excited he can't hold it in anymore, makes me think of a kid at christmas :)
