brought my baby sun conure home

Postby Annne » Mon May 16, 2011 9:31 pm

Hi,

Those of you who have read my other thread know i've been waiting and waiting to take my baby home.... and a couple days ago i picked him up! he's such a little cutie and it didn't take him long to get used to his cage.

The only thing is he has baby formula stuck on him. He was spoon fed and makes the biggest mess haha. Do i just wait till his feathers come out and grow back or can i do something to help? The stuff is like cement!

Here's the little boy :)

Congrats. Don't worry about the feathers! After a couple baths and some preening it will all come off!

Absolutely cute and adorable!!

If it's pretty warm in your house, you can spritz him with water now. He should be loving baths already. You two can have a mutual preen session afterwards and all the junk will be gone in no time.

Little babies are too precious! Congratulations!

Awww so precious! Look how he loves his scritches. What kind of names do you have in mind for him? (Or what is it?)

Congrats!

I'll buy a spray bottle and have a go at getting him a bit wet hehe

Oh and i'm wandering if anyone could give advice on my avatar!! I've been trying and trying to downsize it and saving it with the most horrible quality and the site keeps saying it's too big... right now i finally got one small enough but the quality is horrible. I used to have photoshop but not on this computer so i've been using windows 7 paint.... I have no idea how this stupid new paint works... it's horrible.. i could do a better job with the old crappy one haha.
