These are my three birds.
They are clipped, because we take them outside a lot and go walking or take them to the stores.
The cockatoo and african grey are standing outside during nice weather, on there standard.
The senegal is staying inside though, because neighbour cats have tryed to catch her, they are afraid of the other two who are much bigger, but think of my Kimmy as a nice treat.
So, we are thinking of letting here wings grow, she had learned to fly the first weeks before she came, so we are thinking of giving her back her flight skills.
the other two will be stayed clipped, they don't hang on me that much as the senegal does and i think they won't ever come back if they happen to fly away.
I think my senegal will, but i'm not taking that chance though.

But aren't they georgious?
You can see the cockatoo Nelis loves to cuttle.
I just love them all very much.

Just a few things. First of all, clipping by no means guarantees that a parrot can't fly off outside. The purpose of taking a parrot outside should not at all be a determining reason for clipping. Whether clipped or flighted, I suggested using a harness on parrots outdoors at all times (out of carrier) unless they are expertly outdoor freeflight trained. Here are some first hand stories and resources that may be helpful to you:

Also, I think letting a Senegal Parrot become flighted amongst clipped parrots is a recipe for disaster. They can get very aggressive and territorial. Who wins the fight is left to chance, but the fact that it will start fights is very likely. My Senegal Parrot attacks my Cape Parrot who is significantly larger all the time. Luckily this usually ends with one of the two flying away but if the Cape couldn't fly, this would cause not only injury but also psychological damage.

Great pics! Your birds look gorgeous. I LOVE cockatoos and I really wanna get one to accompany my cockatiel. Are cockatoos really loud?
