New Guys from Chicago

Postby Kaicho » Thu Aug 26, 2010 8:24 am

Hey everyone, 2 new guys here from chicago. It's nice to find people online with common interests such as birds/parrots. I'm Ira-Lee and my partner's name is Andrew. We own 6 parrots total, and love them a ton. I enjoy training them (clicker and verbal/hand-que) and so far they've all done quite well except for our stubborn Severe Macaw.

Anyhow, I upload videos of the flock to my youtube page if anyone is interested, but for now.. here is a sample of our newest edition:

We look forward to chatting and asking questions. :) :swaying:

Welcome to the forum. The Greater Vasa Parrot, what's it like? It's related to African Greys and Poicephalus, right?

The Vasa is actually mostly related to the african grey. However, these birds have not changed much in the last 2000 plus years, much like most species isolated to a small ecosystem or Island ecosystems. Finding Chocobo was like finding a needle in a haystack. We basically got into a bidding war to kick people off a 3 year wait list.
