Names

Postby karcar » Mon Sep 06, 2010 8:53 pm

Hey Gang,
I need help naming my new birds , one is a half moon conure and the other is a timneh african grey.
I keep calling one "little man", and the other one "lady bug". I don't know the sex on either one of them and I don't want those names I am using now to stick. What I was looking for was names that could go for either male or female. I may have them sexed at a later date, even a word like "mischief" would be cute name. I had a poodle name mischief once and he was too so I don't want to re-use that one. So put your thinking caps on and help me please, lol. I can't think of a thing! Thank you all very much in advance for helping me name the birdies.

Riordan- bard, minstrel
Bard- Minstrel, singer, poet

Adelei – Noble kind
Early
Jude
Edison (Maxwell Edison)
Quinn –
Doyle – Dark Stranger
Kieron – Little dark one
Declan – full of goodness
Teague - a poet or philosopher (a wise poet)
Tierney – implies lord of the household
Bellamy - handsome friend
Errol – a swamp dragon in Discworld
Esme – esteemed or loved
Flynn – red haired one
Ibis- large bird
Teagun – little poet
Tegwen – beautiful and blessed
Rory – Red Ruler
Sputnik – little traveler

Hmm, back when I had Ophelia and Mercutio and was toying with the idea of breeding I had picked out two names for the second breeding pair I might have gotten.

Avis and Aviline.
Avis is the latin word for bird and Aviline was just a cute adaptation.

I meant them as male and female, but Avis could be unisex.

...my daughter's budgies are Trouble and Echo...

I wasn't being original...I loved the names when I first heard them years ago...Trouble was a corgi and Echo was an Australian Shepherd.
