From New York!

Hey bird lovers,

My name is Kim, 22 yr old from Long Island, NY. Think this is a great forum from what I have checked out so far and I look forward to getting involved and learning from all of you. I just got my nanday conure (charlie) about 3 months ago and I really did get lucky with him. So well behaved and not too loud!! Can't wait to learn more and more about them. (haven't gotten a dna test yet but decided to call it a him!)
Enjoy!

Welcome again. I'm still waiting for all the other members to recuperate from overstuffing themselves on thanksgiving and get active again on the forum. In the meantime I'd like to welcome you. What part of long island are you from? I'm in Brooklyn, NY. You didn't happen to get your bird in the bird store in Mineola?

thanks again, I don't think I'm gonna eat for another week! I'm actually WAYYY on the other side of the island, out by the Hamptons. I've heard about the store in Mineola though, I got mine at a place in West Islip - actually looked for this type of conure for a long time, wasn't finding him anywhere around my area and then I got lucky phone call :) Brooklyn is great though, would love to live closer to the city but I'm stuck out here for now (in the middle of farms and vineyards!)
