How many New Yorkers do we have?

Postby Michael » Tue Aug 24, 2010 2:47 pm

I'm curious how many members we have here that live in New York City or the nearby vicinity. I have been thinking of starting a parrot club in New York City for some time now but have not been able to solicit enough interest to merit such a club. I would just like to get a head count of how many New Yorkers are on the forum and would also like to ask you how interested you'd be in an in-person parrot club?

I know half of this forum is Canadian. But do we actually have any New Yorkers here?

If you count Texas as in the vicinity of New York then, yes, I am a New Yorker. :P

There used to be a parrot club in New York... I wonder if they are still there. I only know about them because they boycotted a local pet store that had Sally Blanchard in to speak. It was a big deal but I can't remember the name of the club. Seems like it was just New York Bird Club or something.

Yes but everybody knows that Americans are obnoxious and full of themselves so doesn't that make each of us actually count as two?
