He's Here!!!

I picked up my new little guy this morning. A very beautiful Half Moon Conure. He was in a cage with a few Hahn's Macaws. The Hahn's Macaws were absolutely gorgeous! He was so happy sitting there with them. He was a little nervous after the drive home and in his new surroundings so I gave him a little bit of apple, which he enjoyed. He has only made happy content birdy sounds so far. I can't wait until he screeches! When I put him in his cage of course he didn't want to go in. Since then he has found his happy place. He was sitting on my shoulder when I went into the kitchen to make a sandwich and he slid himself down the front of my shirt to get to the counter where he inspected everything on it. He is going to be a fun little guy. Here is his picture.

Also wanted to mention he is from the same clutch as Karen's Half Moon. So we have brothers!

He has such exquisite coloring! He looks very happy and like a good boy! You must be estatic enjoying getting to know him.

Congrats! He is so pretty! I am waiting for my Hahn's any day now.......and the breeder I am getting him from also breeds half moons........hmmm

We're thinking maybe Henri for Henri Matisse. But still thinking. My husband says he looks like a Henri.

After much thought we are going to call him Disney. I wanted a name that fit him and his brilliant color so I typed in Shades of Green and Disney popped up. Since calling him Technicolor is out, Disney it is... I don't understand why some think Half moons are the more plain looking conure because his color is absolutely stunning. Plus Disney has a fun quality to it and this little guy is all over the place.
