Plan on recording with a digital SLR camera on to a SD card, any secrects i need to know any suggestions? thanks , Richard

Open window shades and turn on every light possible. You cannot have too much light for these kinda things. Be careful about not freaking your parrots out by doing it all at once though if you've never done it before.
