Oh, hey. Sorry. I just had an uncontrollable moment there.

Well, they are pretty cool birds. I met one in a local birdshop.

I had the pleasure of hand raising one and I can say that he was my favorite bird I ever raised! He was so cool. He had much more personality than the other parrots, even the Caiques, and that's saying a lot! I've heard they can be tempermental as adults, but so can any parrot I guess. I used to have to scratch the back of his neck to make his fan stick up so customers could see. If he hadn't been so expensive, I would have brought him home with me. I called him Sputnik.

Awe man, pchela! Why did you have to go and post that?! Resolve weakening. . . Maybe I can find a pair and sneak it home? What's the cover story as to why the bank account's wiped out?

I'd never heard of them, so I just googled some pictures and wow -that is a beautiful parrot. Gorgeous!

I had seen pictures of them in the past and have noticed one or two breeders here in Canada, but actually saw and held one live last weekend at the local PetExpo! He belongs to one of the members of a local bird club I am considering joining. They are a beautiful bird and (this one anyway) seemed very calm in all that chaos of cats and dogs and rabbits, etc.
