You'd be better off buying an egg from a breeder, then letting THEM hatch it and wean it.

well to buy an egg you would have to have all the equipment to hatch it. which all is not cheap at all. the incubator alone can cost up to $1000 depending on what size and model you get. you could easily kill the chick inside and still be nursing this egg for nothing to happen. why would you buy an egg? why dont you just buy a WEANED chick

Have you tried eggbid? or eggbay or something like that? We get chicken, duck, and game bird eggs there.
Our incubation stuff, out the door was less than $200. Styrofoam box, heater, turner, and the humidity control -- damp sponges. hahaha but the stuff works. Then you need the brooder -- but you already know all this........
I have to agree with the others, will be much cheaper and easier to pay the breeder to do it.
I bet the exotic eggs, if you can find them will cost quite a bit.
For what it is worth, we have done the incubation thing, have the equipment to do it again, and right now, I own an egg and a baby. --- both will be picked up from the breeder after weaning. Money well spent imhop.
