Soy 'side-effects'

Postby Pajarita » Tue Nov 01, 2016 12:19 pm

This is a very good article about all the different ways soy affects the normal functioning of the body. It's meant for humans but, as there is no research done on birds, it's the only information we have and it's very bad news for people who feed pellets to their birds (unless they use Tops, the only pellet made without soy in the market, as far as I know).

They left out global warming and the rise of ISIS. They managed to blame soy for everything else!

 Yes, they do have a long list of booboos, don't they? The thing about soy is that 99% of all the studies done on it are paid by the industry so we only heard their side of things for a loooong time - until somebody started checking on his own and BAM!, all of a sudden, soy is bad. Personally, I have not fed soy to any of my animals for years and years and years because I worked in a grain company with elevators in Louisiana and I noticed that no animal tried to eat the beans which raised a BIG red flag in my mind. The only birds that ate anything were the gulls but then only the already processed soybean meal that spilled on the Mississippi when unloading the barges -and, another thing, the law says that you cannot have soybean meal elevators within a certain distance of human habitation so we had a separate elevator smack in the middle of the river as well as the middle of nowhere because of that (it stinks to high heaven!!)
