This is an article about a recent discovery: the fact that beaks function is much more complex than we knew because they have now found out that, even in temperate climate species (we knew about this in tropical species like the toucans), beaks have structures that allow them to regulate temperature as well as humidity - and that each different structure is precisely fitted to the natural habitat climate! I tell you, the more you learn about birds, the more awesome you find out they are!
