Two articles. The first one is generalized to all parrots and the second is budgie specific but, please, take into consideration that everything that is said on the budgie one is not correct -for one thing, they do NOT live only 7 years in captivity! As a personal note, I can personally attest to the fact that budgies LOVE to eat spider plants -they chew them all the way down to the roots!
