she likely was petting him improperly.I can see her stroking his back which is a big no-no. It's easy to over love our pets but birds should NEVER be stroked outside of their head or neck. Anywhere else is very sensual and that frustration can lead to feather plucking. Setting pet boundries, along with engaging in activities like training should help. She should also keep more preening toys around to try and distract him.

Yes, indeed, poor, poor Harry... The woman very cheerfully declares that she 'spoils him,' when, in reality, she is literally killing him. He is overly hormonal BIG TIME (see where his rump is completely bare? Well, he plucked there trying to get the pain to go away -his gonads are right there) and aggressive because of it - but worst of all is the terrible state his liver and kidneys must be.

Petting improperly makes things worse but does not make them hormonal unless the food and light are bad. It's never a primary reason, it's always secondary.

Eclectus Parrots have specific dietary requirements that include a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and a balanced pellet diet. Seeds alone are not sufficient for their nutritional needs. Consider consulting with a vet or avian nutrition specialist to ensure Harry's diet is appropriate.rice purity test
