Yes, kale and collard greens have good levels of beta-carotene BUT kale is VERY high in sorbitol (which can cause diarrhea -and I know this for a fact because I can't eat it)` and collard greens are VERY high in oxalic acid (which inhibits calcium absorption -always a problem with captive birds). When assessing the nutritional value of food items, you need to look at the whole thing...
