The man relinquished his birds to the rescue and then wanted them back. When the rescue refused, he took them to court but judge found his suit had no value as he had signed 'unambiguous' paper.

This should serve as a lesson to small unofficial rescues, adopters, and people who get a bird from someone else to make sure you have a relinquishment form or bill of sale.
