I did it again...

Yeah..well...hem...

Yeah that's yet another new Java table stand...

Ok to be honest, I have wanted that particular one for a few months now (I think I first saw it at the beginning of the summer) but it was far too expensive back then. Every few weeks I would go to the pet store it was at and look at the price. At one point it was cheaper by $10 which still made it too expensive so I waited some more.

Saturday we went back at the pet store and I went in, as I always did, giving myself a limit on how much I would spend for it (this amount has always been the same) and there it was...even cheaper than my ceiling price! So I snatched it up.

If we put things in perspective, I'm still one Java tree short compared to how many birds I have (5 stands/trees to 6 birds), so I'm not totally crazy, right???

In the end, I got it $50-$60 cheaper than what it was first being sold for..

More pictures.

I wish I could see where they are sitting, what they are sitting on, are they floor type perch things? Where does the poops go? I need something for my Java desperately to occupy her. I cannot decide what I want.

Your birds are so cute and spoiled. I don't think you are crazy. Nice tree.

Most of the ones I have are table top stands - they could sit on the floor but wouldn't come up very high.
I have three large table top stands and one medium table top stand.

I also have one small tree

I can post pictures later of mine.

There is a base, which I normally cover with paper and most of the poo lands there.
My table top stands are on either small end tables or an actual bigger table.

I better not show Lucy and Jessie any pictures of your place ... they'll definitely get jealous. ;)

The one I got last week. This is also a large table top stand.

Image

This is the first one I got, another large table top stand. Got this one in October (or maybe very early November?) last year. This picture is a bit old but the stand looks basically the same, no obvious wear and tear.

The second one I got, this one is a medium table top stand, also got last October-November. Picture is also a bit old but as the one above, no obvious wear and tear at this moment.

The same perch, an earlier picture.

Finally, my Java tree. I think it's a small one, but it's plenty big for my guys.

I think I'll be biting the bullet at the parrot conference and buying a java playstand.

Lucy, Jessie and Kylie (I can finally start including her now that she's coming home in less than a week) will have to make due with one for now. Jessie is still a little afraid of the jungle gym, but I'm sure Lucy would love one. And Kylie has been exposed to so many different play areas with her current owner, that I'm not concerned about her at all.

It's worth shopping for though and not settling one one just because you want one but that particular one wouldn't be the first choice...

Not sure how the selection is going to be at the CPC...so far, there doesn't seem to be too many actual stores signing up as vendors. Do you know if Exotic Wings will be there??..'cause so far they aren't on the website as a vendor.

Yes, they are going to be there. I was just in the store last week (now that I work only 10 mins from there) and they had it on their calendar / event board.

Good!
I most definitively spent most of my money in the vendor room at his booth...one tree for me, one tree for my mom and quite a few toys...
