Natural Wood Play Gym

Postby clawnz » Sat Oct 22, 2011 10:25 pm

Hi here are the pics of my Fids Play Gym.
It is mounted on an office chair base. Woods used are Manuka, Paperbark Gum, Agonis, and Copper Sheen. It is held together with plastic cable ties and screws.
The Fids sleep on it most nights.

I gotta ask, how do you keep it clean? My bird has a metal play stand, and though he did have a wooden one for awhile, it just became a pain to clean.

Good question. It does not get that bad even with 5 fids using it.
Most of the pooh drops on to the paper I put below it.
As for cleaning I just use hot water in a spray bottle with a little dish washing liquid. Squirt and give a little scrub and then rinse so that it runs off onto the paper, change the paper and your done.
I find it only needs a scrub about once a month. I change the paper more often though.

Was there any major change for the better upon introducing the Natural Wood Play Gym to your fids?
