Neither. The bar spacing is like for a Cockatoo.

Right. Minus the part about aluminum. Aluminum is very soft metal so it bends quite easily too. The margin of safety decreases as the bar spacing starts becoming too big. Sun conures don't have that big of a head, it's mostly feathers. So when you get down to the hard part of it (and sideways mind you cause that's the way to slip through better), with a little defect in the bars, some bending, etc you can have a nasty accident on your hands. This risk isn't justified by the greater cage size.
