Proper technique of cleanup?

It's hard cleaning up after Perry. I stack newspapers so I can change it quickly daily. I roll up the newspaper and fold it up, but something always slides out of the newspaper roll and gets on the floor.
Is there a better technique of changing the newspaper in her cage without having any poop/fallen food sliding out onto the floor?

Does your cage have a slide out tray? I always pull the tray out, flip it over the garbage can and the paper along with poo dump neatly in the trash then i lay down fresh paper and slide it back in.

I do, but my trash can isn't big enough to slide newspaper in.

This happens to me too---I make sure to only roll it over the tray, so (most) gunk falls in the tray, then just tip the tray in the garbage and wipe it. Unfortunately, you will end up with some mess on the floor---I always do my daily sweeping after I clean her cage.
