Securing an avery or a cage WITH SPECAIL BIRD LOCKS?

securing a parrots cage/ avery with locks i found these made by fireplasst company on amazon does anyone use them?
i have no idea what they are made from though? I WAS JUST CUROUS. :thumbsup:

These locks are made from iron which provided it has no rust should be fine, correct?

As i understand it its galvinized steal wire which is a problem when bilding cages as this coating can potentially contain zinc, and zinc is piosionus.

Personally I would keep an aviary padlocked rather than use those clips. Keeps the idiots/theives etc out and a would be escapee bird from accidently getting its beak or toe caught on the clip although that probably wouldn't be an issue with the smaller birds.

i would go with the padlock like marie said, those look to easy for a bird to figure out.
